The 4th meeting of the 5th Academic Committee of the State Key Laboratory of Inorganic Synthesis and Preparative Chemistry was held in Changchun on December 20, 2013. This meeting was attended by several academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and experts in the field.
Prof. Zhan Shi, deputy director of the lab, reported the overall work of the lab between 2009 and 2013. During the discussion session, members of the Academic Committee proposed specific suggestions regarding research directions, cultivation of young and middle-aged academic leaders, construction of innovative team, exchange and cooperation, and independent innovation capability. They also offered constructive advice on the upcoming evaluation of national key labs. This meeting is of great significance for the preparation of the 2014 evaluation of state key lab and for the long term development of the lab.
