The State Key Laboratory of Inorganic Synthesis and Preparative Chemistry Network (SYNLAB Network) was established in 2012. It adopts a fully gigabit physical topology and a directory structure based on Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) to provide extensive application support for Linux/Windows hybrid environments. The SYNLAB Network service platform offers account services, certificate services, data storage services, experiment reservation services, help services, and database services within the campus network of Jilin University and the laboratory intranet. The network application service platform employs unified user authentication and SSL encryption for the transmission of sensitive network information, ensuring network security. The storage system provides high-performance data storage services with support for various transmission protocols, assisting research groups in storing, sharing, and seamlessly integrating data files across platforms in the existing network environment architecture. Starting from 2021, the underlying application network services have been gradually upgraded and migrated, upgrading the network architecture to a hyper-converged distributed high-availability solution based on Proxmox VE+Ceph. Currently, complete virtualization of all application servers has been achieved. In addition, the SYNLAB Network provides a guide website based on video demonstrations to help users quickly understand and utilize various services of the SYNLAB Network.
